Introducing Our Birthday Club!

Introducing Our Birthday Club!

I love to celebrate birthdays. Today is my *30th* birthday; it's a big one for me! *throws confetti* My dolls don't have birthdays, so I throw them a party whenever I want to! It's been a while for them, so maybe I'll do another one for them again soon. Sally here was celebrating her 6th birthday. Next time, she will probably still be celebrating her 6th birthday, but I now have another little girl doll so she can have a friend come to her party! Won't that be fun? In celebration of my own birthday,…Read more

Greenery 2017 Pantone Color of the Year

Who's ready to start thinking spring? I know I am! What better way to get a head start on spring than with Pantone's 2017 Color of the Year, Greenery! This lovely vibrant green will wake up your senses and provide energy. I think it's such a great color, I went ahead and made a set of printable dollhouse wallpapers using it! Pantone put together 10 color palettes showing how Greenery can be used with other colors. My two favorites, and the ones I can see working easiest in a modern dollhouse are 'Fathomless'…Read more

Minis at the Ohio State Fair

Minis at the Ohio State Fair

Wednesday was opening day of the Ohio State Fair. I went with my best friends and we made a day of it. We walked around for hours, saw lots of great exhibits, petted some cute animals, rode all the rides, and ate all the fabulous fair food. When we were looking for a bathroom we wandered into this Ag building, where we saw these exhibits and a few others like it. How cute, a little train layout, and an adorable gazebo nestled in with live plants. After seeing those cute little ones, I had…Read more
Dollhouse Therapy ~ Kitchen

Dollhouse Therapy ~ Kitchen

Today is the final day of the #DollhouseTherapy challenge. It's been an exciting three months and now I have a lovely new and *finished* dollhouse, my very first! The State Fair is coming up, and I've entered many of the miniature categories. As they have one for alternate scales (not 1:12, 1:24, or 1:48), I'm going to enter this house. Wish me luck! So the last room to tackle was the kitchen. I'd tried last month to get it done, but last month ended up being rather crazy, so I back-burnered the kitchen…Read more
Dollhouse Therapy ~ Entry Hall & Living Room

Dollhouse Therapy ~ Entry Hall & Living Room

Oh man, this was a rough month to get through. On May 2nd, I had my tonsils out. As an adult, I can assure you, it does hurt worse than it would have had I still been a little kid. Something about larger surface areas. Also, fun fact: I'm immune to the effects of Hydrocodone, aka Vicodine, and that was the *only* pain med they allowed me to have for the whole first week. Imagine a week of post-op with no pain meds, fun times. Well, with my mom's help, I did get through it. While…Read more
